ABOUT ME
Thanks for checking out my page. I am a family physician currently practicing in the mountains of rural western North Carolina. Prior to moving to North Carolina, I spent time practicing in rural Ghana and the Olympic Peninsula in Washington.

My wife Jess and I have two small boys. I grew up eating my fair share of junk food and watching more television than I can remember. I was one of the least athletic kids I knew. Not until my adult years did I engage in routine exercise and pay more attention to what I was putting into my body. This allowed me to start participating in endurance events, mostly road marathons, but also a couple of triathlons.

This Blog is designed to look into one specific aspect of an ideal world as described in the Hebrew Bible and further elaborated on in the Christian New Testament.  I believe there is an abundance of wisdom that is pertinent for our current context, whether religious or not.  As with any passages in scripture, these are meant for meditation, reflection, and discussion.
